Musical lovebirds Don Toliver and Kali Uchis couldn’t keep the secret any longer, when they publicly announced last month that the couple was expecting its first child together this year.

While rumors swirled about the “Cardigan” artist and Uchis being an item in 2020, they didn’t confirm to be dating until about a year later. Even though they’ve managed to keep the details of their relationship under wraps compared to other celebrity couples, the Cactus Jack rapper-singer and Uchis haven’t been shy about sharing their love for one another in the music as diarists when they’ve linked up in the studio for multiple mushy collaborations.

In the past, before dating Toliver, Kali Uchis was allegedly romantically tied to music artists such as Omar Apollo and Yung Gleesh. The Colombian-American singer caught up with Billboard News last month ahead of her second Spanish-language album Orquideas, where she spoke about how tough it was to keep the pregnancy hidden for so long.

“I had to do some shows and I was on a TIME list so I had to do a red carpet — that was really hard,” she said. “It’s so much to be excited for, so it’s hard to say just one thing.”
