Chris Young Moves to Red Light for Management
Chris Young has joined the artists roster at Coran Capshaw’s Red Light Management, the company tells Billboard.
At Red Light, Kailyn Finnegan will serve as Young’s manager. Finnegan worked with Young at his previous management home, The AMG. Prior to The AMG, Finnegan worked at Live Nation.
“I’m excited to work with her and everybody at Red Light,” Young tells Billboard. “It’s a really great situation. We’ve known each other for a long time. Kailyn’s a really great, really smart person, very intuitive and knows a lot of different sides to the business. Obviously, with Coran and Red Light being over the top of that, they have so many resources at their disposal. I guess it has just been a season of change. New music, new management, I even decided to move into a new house recently!”
Young’s ninth studio album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, is scheduled for release on Mar. 22 via Sony Music Nashville. Leading the album is the title track, which is currently in the top 40 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart. Since his debut on that chart in 2007, Young has earned 11 No. 1s there. This spring, he will headline his Young Love & Saturday Nights Tour featuring opener Bryan Martin. Young will also be a special guest on some of Kane Brown‘s In The Air Tour dates.
Finnegan told Billboard in a statement, “I first met Chris in 2013 when I was with Live Nation and he was opening for Brad Paisley. I appreciated not only his music and musicianship but also his unparalleled work ethic. I’m thrilled to be continuing to work together in this new role at Red Light Management as his manager and developing and executing on the long-term vision for his career, starting with the new album and tour.”
Red Light’s other country clients include Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan and Maren Morris.
