The music video for ‘Impssible’ begins with member Wonbin standing alone on a train platform as one passes by. He looks around to make sure there aren’t any witnesses, before his eyes begin to glow blue and he phases through the wall of the passing train, entering the cabin.
The remainder of the music video features the six members perform impossible feats. “Got me flyin’ in my dreams right now / Everyone says it can’t be done, why? / Can’t lose, can’t lose, can’t lose / It’s impossible,” the boyband sing on the chorus of the dancefloor-ready house song.
According to a press release from SM Entertainment, ‘Impossible’ is part of a wider RIIZE initiative to introduce a new genre of K-pop music they dub “emotional pop”. “We want to show that we grow through challenges,” RIIZE said of the track. “It’s a song that really emphasises the saying, ‘Nothing is impossible’.”
RIIZE will drop their first-ever mini-album ‘RIIZING’ in June, however a specific date has yet to be announced. In the lead-up to the project’s release, the boyband will release three other B-sides from the record – ‘9 Days’, ‘Honestly’ and ‘One Kiss’ – on April 29.
The group will also embark on their 2024 ‘RIIZING Day’ fan-con world tour prior to the release of the mini-album, with shows in Korea, the US and more. ‘RIIZING’ is set to mark RIIZE’s second music release of 2024, following the single ‘Love 119’ in early January.
