Lana Del Rey announces first ever US stadium headline show in Boston
Lana Del Rey has announced her first ever US stadium headline show taking place in Boston this June. Find all the details below.
The one-night-only show will take place at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts on June 20, 2024.
The artist’s debut US stadium headline performance at the 37,755-capacity venue will follow her recent headline performances at Coachella 2024, and a sold-out amphitheater run of shows across select cities in the US late last year.
General sale tickets will be available this Friday (May 10) at 10am local time from here. Alternatively, fans will be able to access tickets early through an artist pre-sale on Wednesday, May 8 at 10AM local time through Live Nation.
Reviewing Del Rey’s weekend one performance at Coachella 24, NME wrote that the “distinctive star” stayed “true to herself” despite battling technical issues in her set.
“Although mired by sound issues, the singer’s first Coachella headline set presents a lowkey, artful celebration of her career so far,” the four-star review added.
The performance welcomed surprise appearances from Jon Batiste, who joined for ‘Candy Necklace’, before Billie Eilish appeared to sing her own song ‘Ocean Eyes’ along with Del Rey’s ‘Video Games’.
The headliner then brought out Camila Cabello during her weekend two performance at Coachella, where they performed the pop star’s new single ‘I Luv It’.
The guest appearance came as a surprise to some fans, prompting Del Rey to speak out about her friendship with Cabello in an attempt to quash rumours.
Some wondered if the guest slot was something of an olive branch, after the ‘Video Games’ singer seemingly called out the pop star in a past post.
Replying to a fan online, Del Rey said their Coachella performance was “not a forgive and forget vibe”, because most of these people she mentioned in the post in question about the state of women in pop “were my friends that’s why I felt safe listing them”.
Since Del Rey’s Coachella performances, it’s been revealed that the California festival is facing a fine of around $28,000 (£22,585) due to her set running over the scheduled time.
In another news from the singer, Del Rey recently covered ‘Unchained Melody’ with country star Paul Cauthen at Stagecoach Festival in California.
