Liz appeared as a contestant on the show on its May 19 episode disguised and referred to as Hourglass. She had advanced to the second round alongside three other contestants and took to the stage to cover IU’s 2013 hit ‘The Red Shoes’.
Liz was later revealed to have been behind the mask of Hourglass after having been eliminated from the second round, with many both in the audience and in the panel of judges praising her for her vocal ability.
Despite having failed to advance to the next round, The King of Masked Singer later shared footage of her rehearsal for Round 3, which saw Liz performing a cover of Taeyeon’s hit ballad track ‘If’.
Liz along with her fellow IVE bandmates – comprising Wonyoung, Yujin, Leeseo, Gaeul and Rei – recently dropped their second mini-album ‘IVE Switch’, featuring the singles ‘Heya’ and ‘Accendio’. The music video for ‘Heya’ was first released on April 29, while the visual for ‘Accendio’ dropped last week.
Last week, Forbes released its annual 30 under 30 list, naming IVE in the sports and entertainment portion of the list. They are the only K-pop act to be included in this year’s list.
Meanwhile, IVE’s Yujin also recently took home the Prizm Popularity Award (Female) at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards. The ceremony also saw wins by BIBI, Kim Go-eun, Lee Jung-ha and more.
