Team behind Electric Ballroom to open new open-air venue in Camden this summer
A new open-air venue in Camden will open this summer, courtesy of the team behind the Electric Ballroom.
The venue, which will be called ‘Camden Courtyard’, will be situated minutes from the Camden tube station at 23 Kentish Town Road, just behind the Electric Ballroom itself. Designed and built by Fables Creative, the courtyard will be able to host 300 people, and is set to open on July 4.
“For the best part of a century, Electric Ballroom has been a venue which showcases the most exciting of musical movements and Camden Courtyard is the next step in our story,” said Kate Fuller, owner of the Camden Courtyard and Electric Ballroom. “The venue will offer something new for Camden, an area that has surprisingly few open air locations for drinking, dining and dancing.
“We’re working with a great selection of forward thinking promoters, DJs and food & drink brands and we can’t wait to welcome new faces and regulars alike.”
Camden Courtyard will be equipped with a high-spec Martin Audio sound system, where acts FreeFromSleep, UKG brunch, Midnight Runners, Colorize and Ketoloco are all set to make an appearance.
There will also be tasty food courtesy of Pizza & Dumplings, along with drinks provided by Wray & Nephew, who will bring their frozen slushy cocktails to Camden.
You can sign up at Camden Courtyard’s website for a chance to win tickets to the launch party, where you can win free pizza, dumplings, and drinks. The venue will then be open from 4-11pm on Thursday and Friday and 12pm-11pm on Saturday and Sunday.
