The release features two songs including the title track and a song called ‘From A Distance’. You can listen to both below.
According to the credits on Spotify, the EP was produced by Claud, a 25-year old singer-songwriter signed to Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records. She is also listed as a co-writer on ‘From A Distance’.
Along with new music, Mars has also officially launched her own TikTok profile.
It comes after Mars posted a viral clip which was then deleted on the platform last year, in which she said she had been grounded for trying to charter a helicopter with her dad’s credit card.
In the clip, she said at the time: “Make a vodka sauce pasta with me because I’m grounded because I tried to charter a helicopter from New York to Maryland on my dad’s credit card because I wanted to have dinner with my camp friend.”
The 16-year-old explained at the time that she isn’t allowed to have any public social media accounts because her parents “don’t want me to be a nepotism kid,” before adding: “But TikTok is not gonna make me famous so it doesn’t really matter.”
Elsewhere in the clip, Romy admitted she didn’t know the difference between a garlic bulb and an onion, and held up the Grammy award won by Phoenix in 2010 for the band’s fourth studio album ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’.
Mars’ grandfather is Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola and she recently attended the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of his new movie Megalopolis.
Meanwhile, Vampire Weekend‘s Ezra Koenig recently joined Phoenix on stage during their set at this year’s edition of Just Like Heaven festival.
