ARTMS drop trippy music video for new single, ‘Virtual Angel’
K-pop girl group ARTMS have made their official debut with the release of their debut album ‘Dall’, featuring the lead single ‘Virtual Angel’.
Both the album – an acronym for ‘Devine All Love & Live’ – and a music video for ‘Virtual Angel’ were released today (May 31) at 1pm KST. ‘Virtual Angel’ is the fifth song from the record to receive a video treatment, following the pre-release singles ‘Birth’, ‘Candy Crush’, ‘Air’ and ‘Flower Rhythm’.
The new music video features all five ARTMS members as “virtual angels” who can only be found in the digital realm. Meanwhile five other people, covered in tattoos referencing ARTMS and ‘Virtual Angel’, are sitting in a room watching the girl group, holding sword-like props and wearing angel wings.
“In my frozen heart, new flowers begin to bloom / What was hidden in the freezing point were my feelings for you / The sin of absorbing the sun, the moment it causes harm / I’m your virtual angel / My feelings are complete when the moon rises,” they croon on the chorus.
ARTMS is a girl group comprising HaSeul, JinSoul, Kim Lip, Choerry and HeeJin. The quintet formed the group under Modhaus after parting ways with former label Blockberry Creative following a lawsuit filed against the company by all 12 LOONA members for contract termination.
Last year, KimLip, JinSoul and Choerry had made a comeback as the LOONA sub-unit Odd Eye Circle, with the release of ‘Air Force One’. Meanwhile, bandmate HeeJin also made a solo debut with an album called ‘K’ in October 2023.
Aside from ARTMS, the other members of LOONA have since released music since winning their lawsuits against Blockberry Creative. Vivi, Hyeju (formerly known as Olivia Hye), Hyunjin, Gowon and Yeojin re-debuted as Loossemble, while Chuu and Yves have gone solo.
