In May 2023, NME unveiled The Cover: our flagship editorial franchise that champions the best emerging talent in music with a weekly cover story. Throughout this month, we’ve been marking The Cover’s first anniversary – and what’s better than celebrating with one massive party? Two of ‘em!
Earlier this month, NME took over Swee Lee Clarke Quay in Singapore for The Cover Party: Singapore Edition, with a shindig for artists, partners and fellow music fanatics to toast to The Cover mission of breaking what’s new and what’s next. Earlier this week we continued the fun with the London Edition at Dawson’s in Soho, inviting down a mix of rising artists and friends of NME. Here’s what went down…
Down to Denmark Street
Dawsons Local on Soho’s Denmark Street – the birthplace of NME in 1952 – was a fitting place to toast to to the future of music.

The Cover Party: London Edition hosted a wealth of UK dance music’s brightest new prospects, including buzzy, Shrek ear-donning producer Charlieeeee and their close collaborator Piri.
