The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen gets bit by bat while opening for AC/DC
The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen was recently bit by a bat while on stage during their opening slot for AC/DC.
On Wednesday (May 29), the rock group took the stage at the Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla in Seville, Spain during AC/DC’s ‘Power Up‘ tour. During their fifth song of the night, ‘Witches Burn’, a small bat flew and landed on Momsen’s leg.
The singer shared a clip of the encounter on her official Instagram account. “So…ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT…in Sevilla Wednesday during “Witches Burn” of all songs… a BAT flew onto me and clung to my leg,” began the caption of her post.
She continued: “In the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing…he was cute, but yes he bit me…so rabies shots for the next two weeks. Thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning…more footage to come…that’s one for the books!!!! @acdc #pwrup #BATGIRL.”
In the clip shared by the ‘Make Me Wanna Die’ singer, she appears to be completely unaware of the little critter on her leg. Fans were pointing at it and yelling at her in attempts to get her attention.
“There’s a fucking flying bat on my leg right now! Can someone help me please?” she says in the clip, with her band and crew members helping get the animal off of her. “I must really be a witch!” she declared.
Momsen’s incident comes forty-two years after rock icon Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off a bat
