Cyndi Lauper announces details of farewell tour

Last night (June 3), pop icon Cyndi Lauper took to social media to announce the dates for final tour, dubbed the ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour’. The tour will run between mid-October and early December and will see Lauper perform across North America.
While she has teased that she will be joined by “special guests”, Lauper has yet to name anyone specific.
Pre-sale tickets to Cyndi Lauper’s farewell tour will go on sale tomorrow (June 5) with the code “CHORD”. On Friday (June 7), general tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster at 10am local time.

Prior to her farewell tour, Cyndi Lauper is due to play an “exclusive” greatest hits show at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday, June 26 ahead of the New York singer-songwriter’s appearance at Glastonbury Festival later that weekend. It’ll mark Lauper’s first UK solo concert in eight years.
Before that, however, Lauper is also slated to release an upcoming documentary titled Let The Canary Sing. Let The Canary Sing seeks to offer fans a deep dive into the pop icon’s storied career and legacy through archival footage and interviews with Lauper herself, as well as other prominent names in music including Boy George and Patti LaBelle among others.
The upcoming documentary will also chronicle Lauper’s impact as an activist for queer rights and allyship, as well as womens’ rights. It is due for release on the Paramount+ streaming platform exclusively on June 4 in the United States and Canada, followed by release in the UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria on June 5.
