Announced today (June 4), the live show will see the West London hip-hop collective come together on stage to celebrate a decade since the release of People Just Do Nothing – the UK mockumentary series that centred around them.

Set to take place on September 28, the gig will see them appear at the recently-reopened O2 Academy venue in Brixton, and will come after their upcoming slot at Glastonbury later this month.

The band took to social media this morning to announce their 10-year anniversary show, and posted a tongue-in-cheek clip of them receiving the news and heading down to the local park to get in shape for the gig.

“LDN CREW!! THIS YEAR IS THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF PJDN SO TO CELEBRATE 10 YEARS OF PURE KURUPTION WERE TAKING OVER BRIXTON ACADEMY FOR A ONE OFF EXTRS SPESHY LIVE SHOW,” they wrote in the caption.

In the video, the members also go on to tell fans that the Brixton gig will see “Kurupt FM back in shape and better than ever.”

As previously mentioned, before the group take to the stage in London, they’ll also be performing at the Glade Area at Glastonbury later this month. The 2024 edition will take place between June 26 and 30, and the electronic, disco and reggae-oriented area will also see performances from Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Camelphat, Groove Armada and more.

Kurupt FM have also joined Lethal Bizzle and Dizzee Rascal as performers for this year’s edition of London’s South Facing Festival.
