‘How I Met Your Mother’ actor allegedly tries to flee country after stabbing girlfriend 20 times

How I Met Your Mother actor Nick Pasqual has reportedly been caught attempting to flee to Mexico after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend.

The actor, 34, is said to be imprisoned in a remote Texas jail, with reports claiming that he is awaiting extradition back to California. He has reportedly been charged with attempted murder, burglary and domestic violence.

The charges were brought against Pasqual last month in connection with the attack on 35-year-old Allie Shehorn, who was stabbed more than 20 times in her Los Angeles home.

Now, Pasqual, who has starred in Rebel Moon, American Gangster: Trap Queens and America’s Most Wanted, is being held in Hudspeth County Jail in Sierra Blanca. According to the Daily Mail, he was intercepted 35 miles from Hudspeth County as he was attempting to cross the Fort Hancock International Bridge into Chihuahua.

A spokesperson for Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon has said: “He’s still here and no extradition date has been set yet. He’ll be here until he goes back to LA but we haven’t heard anything yet.”

According to The Mirror, Pasqual was charged and arrested for the stabbing on May 29 after Shehorn’s “adopted mum” Christine White found the makeup artist and reportedly saved her life.

Shehorn, who has worked on various films including Mean Girls and Babylon, is currently still in recovery in hospital, but has been transferred from the intensive care unit.

As per The Mirror, Shehorn “had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual,” and the actor was arrested in mid-May for a domestic violence-related charge against Shehorn.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, the How I Met Your Mother actor faces a possibility of life imprisonment if he is convicted of his charges.

Gascon said of the alleged stabbing last week: “This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”
