Attention, Lambily: The Elusive Chanteuse herself has a special gift for you this Pride Month.

On Friday (June 14), Mariah Carey dropped an expanded edition of her beloved album Rainbow in honor of its 25th anniversary. Alongside a series of new remixes of some of the superstar’s mega hits like “Heartbreaker” and “Thank God I Found You,” the new edition of the LP comes with a brand-new track titled “Rainbow’s End,” produced by Carey and her longtime collaborator David Morales.

On the new song, Carey takes the “Rainbow” interlude from her original album and crafts it into its own, full-length track, conjuring up the image of herself as a heartbroken woman seeking solace after the end of a contentious relationship. “I know there is a rainbow for me to follow,” she sings. “To get beyond my sorrow.”

“When the Rainbow album was first released, the title track was a dream-like interlude that I felt was a hopeful ending to an emotional roller-coaster ride,” Carey wrote of the new song on X. “I always hoped that one day I would get to find my rainbow’s end… I’m not sure if I have, but with #Rainbow25, I tried!”

While fans can listen to the new version of Carey’s classic album on streaming services today, the singer is also making the 25th-anniversary edition available as a 2-LP rainbow picture disc set, which releases on Oct. 11. Pre-sale for the vinyl is available at Carey’s official Amazon store.
