Clairo performed a brand new unreleased track titled ‘Pier 4’ while appearing at Mustafa‘s London Edition of Artists For Aid Benefit Concert.

The Atlanta-born artist appeared alongside the likes of Blood Orange, Bint Mbareh, Daniel Caesar, Earl Sweatshirt, Nicolás Jaar, Ramy Youssef, and Yasiin Bey at the concert that focused on benefitting humanitarian efforts in both Palestine and Sudan.

During her brief set, Clairo – real name Claire Cottrill – performed an acoustic set which involved her strumming an acoustic guitar. She opened her set with a cover of Judee Sill’s ‘My Man On Love’ and debuted ‘Pier 4’ – with Caeser and Jake Passermore of the band SCORS providing backing vocals – which will be featured on her forthcoming album ‘Charm‘.

“Oh, it’s something you’ve done / Open my hands and I know I’ve shed some / Close is not close enough / Where’s the fun in it? / Now I’m too tough / Close being just too much,” she sings in the chorus.

‘Charm’ will serve as the ‘Bags’ singer’s third studio album and is set for release on July 12. You can pre-order / pre-save the LP here.

It follows 2021’s ‘Sling‘. In a five-star review of the album, NME shared: “Both musically and lyrically, this is Clairo doing what she does best – crafting gorgeous jewels that help you make sense of your own world, one step at a time. ‘Sling’ might take inspiration from classic songwriters of yesteryear but, decades from now, it will be Cottrill whom our future artists hold up with similar reverence.”

In other news, Clairo recently gave her single ‘Sexy To Someone’ its live debut in a surprise appearance at a Ryan Beatty show.

Singing the song in the encore as an unexpected guest at Beatty’s NYC show at Bowery Ballroom last month, Clairo gave an intimate performance of the single accompanied by Beatty’s band.

Elsewhere, Clairo has shared a demo recording titled ‘Lavender’ via Bandcamp, with all proceeds from its sales going towards Doctors Without Borders.

She also performed at the ‘Artist For Aid’ concert in New Jersey to help raise funds for the ongoing humanitarian crises in Gaza and Sudan.
