Liam Gallagher launches ‘Definitely Maybe’-inspired signed prints in aid of War Child
Liam Gallagher has launched signed prints inspired by classic Oasis tracks in aid of the War Child charity – order them here.
He worked with the non-profit Soundwaves Art, which creates limited edition art from soundwaves to make the prints, and shared them on Instagram earlier today (July 10).
The prints are made from the audio of ‘Definitely Maybe’ songs ‘Live Forever’, ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Star’ and ‘Supersonic’, and have been signed by both Gallagher himself and Soundwaves artist Tim Wakefield.
There are just 100 prints and six originals available.
Gallagher and Soundwaves Art posted on Instagram earlier, “Whilst on tour, Liam met up with @soundwaves_art to sign a very limited collection of artwork created from the audio of “Live Forever”, “Supersonic” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star”. Every artwork has been hand-signed by Liam and Soundwaves artist Tim Wakefield to support the incredible work of @warchilduk, a nonprofit organization protecting, educating and providing psychosocial support to children in war zones across the world.”
‘Definitely Maybe’ celebrates its 30th anniversary on August 29, and Gallagher headed out on the 30 Years Anniversary Tour last month, playing Sheffield, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.
On Friday (July 12) he’s set to headline TRNSMT in Glasgow, before a handful of further shows across the next few years. He’s then headlining Reading & Leeds Festival, for which he’ll again be playing ‘Definitely Maybe’ in full.
At Manchester’s new Co-op Live arena, he debuted the ‘rap’ from the Sawmills demo of ‘Columbia’, while he confirmed on X/Twitter that he reserves a seat at all of his solo shows for his estranged brother Noel.
Meanwhile, he also addressed the latest Oasis reunion rumours, after reports that the band had booked concert dates at Wembley Stadium for next year. When a fan asked him about the reports, he replied, “Nobody’s told me maybe [they’re] getting a new singer like the dude out of Queen” referencing singer Adam Lambert’s tours with the classic band.
You can find more information about the prints and order them here. And, you can find tickets to Gallagher’s remaining UK shows – including Reading & Leeds – here.
