Valentino Merlo & The La Planta’s ‘Hoy’ Adds Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard Argentina Hot 100

Valentino Merlo and The La Planta hold steady atop the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart as “Hoy,” their first partnership, rules the July 13-dated ranking for a second week. As the song rose 2-1 the week prior (list dated July 6), Argentinian Merlo became the youngest act to score a No. 1 since the chart launched in 2018.

Trueno claims his highest debut among 22 career entries thanks to “Cuando Te Vi (Big One Crossover #5),” with Maria Becerra and Big One, as the tripartite debuts at No. 3 with the Highest Debut of The Week honors.

The new debut places Big One back on the chart and in the top 10, after “Lágrimas (Big One Crossover #4),” with BM and Tini, reached No. 6 on the Nov. 4, 2023-dated list. The Argentinian record producer also takes home the Greatest Gainer trophy as “Un Finde | Crossover #2,” with Ke Personajes and FMK, climbs from 21 spots from No. 66 to No.45.

Further, as “Cuando Te Vi (Big One Crossover #5)” launches at No. 3, Maria Becerra extends her top 10 record, with 28 total career top 10s.

Classic Argentinian rock band Los Abuelos de La Nada celebrates its first chart entry with the 1983’s hit “Mil Horas” at No. 75. The song ejects Cachorro Lopez and Lali’s new version of the song, which debuted at No. 70 in June.

While it was a slow week in terms of new debuts on the chart, two other songs make their first appearances: “feelslikeimfallinginlove” at No. 94, for Coldplay’s 11th entry, and Plan B’s “Es Un Secreto” at No. 98.
