50 Cent reportedly “in talks” to make appearance at Republican National Convention
50 Cent is reportedly “in talks” to make an appearance at the ongoing Republican National Convention.
According to CNN, he could be set to appear at some point this week after Donald Trump was formally nominated as the presidential candidate for the GOP yesterday (July 15).
It comes after CNN This Morning Weekend co-anchor Victor Blackwell wrote on social media: “50 Cent is currently scheduled to perform at the GOP convention this week, according to a person familiar. The person cautioned plans could still change, but as of Monday morning, 50 was scheduled to perform at the convention.”
Kate Sullivan, who covers the Trump for CNN, backed this and added: “50 Cent is in talks with convention officials to appear in Milwaukee during the GOP convention, according to a person familiar.”
The rapper is yet to comment on or make an appearance at the convention.

It comes just days after 50 Cent posted a clip of his song ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ along with a photograph of Trump standing with his fist in the air and blood splattered across his face following an assassination attempt on the former US President.
“I know the vibes,” the rapper wrote. “We are all in trouble now!”
A subsequent tweet saw him post an edited version of the cover of his 2003 debut album ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, with Trump’s face superimposed on his. “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending,” he wrote.

Prior to the 2020 election, the rapper also appeared to endorse Trump after learning of Joe Biden’s plans to impose tax increases on top earners.
He then backtracked following a social media grilling from comedian and ex-girlfriend Chelsea Handler.
Elsewhere, Australian federal senator Ralph Babet has called for Tenacious D‘s deportation from Australia following Kyle Gass’ remarks onstage about the assassination attempt on Trump.
While performing in Sydney on Sunday (July 14), Jack Black sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to his bandmate Kyle Gass, before asking him to make a wish. Gass shared his wish with the audience, remarking: “Don’t miss Trump next time.”
