Watch IVE debut new song ‘Supernova Love’ live at Tokyo concert
K-pop girl group IVE recently premiered a new song called ‘Supernova Love’ live at their recent Japanese concert at the Tokyo Dome.
Yesterday (September 4), IVE surprised fans in attendance at their Tokyo Dome concert in Japan by debuting a brand-new English-language song, ‘Supernova Love’. The dance-pop song is reportedly produced by David Guetta, and samples the 1983 instrumental single ‘Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence’ by composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, from the war film of the same name.
It is currently unclear when IVE will release ‘Supernova Love’. When released, the song will be the girl group’s second-ever English song, following their remake of Icona Pop’s ‘All Night’ with American rapper Saweetie.
Later today (September 5), IVE will wrap up their ‘Show What I Have’ world tour, which first kicked-off in October 2023. Over the course of the tour, the girl group played 37 concerts over five continents, including Asia, Europe and North America.
Between the legs of their world tour, the K-pop group also released their second mini-album, ‘IVE Switch’, which was led by the single ‘Heya’. They have since also released a music video for the album cut ‘Accendio’.
In other K-pop news, Korean-American singer Woosung of South Korean band The Rose has announced his upcoming 2024 ‘B4 We Die’ world tour, featuring concerts in Asia, Europe, the US and more. He’s also set to release a new record called ‘4444’ on October 4.
Meanwhile, K-pop girl group ITZY will be making a comeback as a full group this October, with member Lia set to return since going on hiatus in September 2023.
