GloRilla announces debut album ‘Glorious’ with new single ‘Hollon’

GloRilla has announced her debut studio album, ‘Glorious’ – listen to the new single ‘Hollon’ below.

The Memphis rapper and NME 100 alumni is due to release the record on Friday October 11 via CMG/Interscope. You can pre-save-pre-add it here.

She revealed details about the project on social media last night (September 19), writing: “So grateful to be sharing this with y’all and as a little treat I’m blessing y’all with HOLLON tonight at midnight.”

On the two-minute ‘Hollon’, GloRilla raps: “Ho, you must not know what you just started (Fuck)/ Me and my bitches go gnarly/ Give a fuck about this party/ We gon’ step on shit regardless (Stamp that).”

To announce the single, she wrote on social media: “This and ‘TGIF’ was just a taste of all the 🔥🔥🔥 we got coming!! LET’S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!”

Last summer, the rapper said she was “excited” about her highly anticipated first album – which will follow on from her 2024 mixtape ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang’ and her 2022 EP ‘Anyways, Life’s Great’.

“I plan on going Number One,” she said at the time. “I’ve gotta make a song that gone have all the girls screaming and another anthem.”

Recently, Rihanna asked for an update on GloRilla’s long-awaited debut LP: “I know dis wild hypocritical, but when the album drop?”

This year has already seen GloRilla release the tracks ‘Yeah Glo!’, ‘TGIF’, and ‘Wanna Be’ – the latter of which featured Megan Thee Stallion (with Cardi B appearing on a remix). She also supported Megan on the US leg of her ‘Hot Girl Summer’ tour.

In other news, GloRilla has received numerous nominations for the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards – including Hip-hop Artist Of The Year, Song Of The Year (‘Yeah Glo!’) and Best Collaboration (‘Wanna Be’).

Meanwhile, ‘Wanna Be’ appeared on Barack Obama’s summer 2024 playlist in August.
