Activision Blizzard has shared a brutal, monster-filled live-action trailer for upcoming Diablo 4 expansion Vessel Of Hatred.

Diablo 4 was released last summer and the Vessel Of Hatred expansion adds a new class of character to the game. At the moment, players can pick from Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue and Sorcerer but Vessel Of Hatred will add a Spiritborn class into the mix.

“With expert agility and mobility, they strike down foes with visceral ferocity, utilizing glaives, quarterstaves, and polearms as an extension of themselves. They channel the immense power and abilities of the four Spirit Guardians in battle, able to adapt to whatever is the swiftest path to dominance,” explained Activision Blizzard.

Diablo 4: Vessel Of Hatred is due for release October 8 but to get yourself in the mood, check out the new live-action trailer.

As well as a fresh class of warrior, Diablo 4’s Vessel Of Hatred expansion will feature the new region of Nahantu, which includes new enemies and dungeons.

The paid DLC also includes the next chapter in Diablo 4’s ongoing storyline, a number of new powerful allies and multiplayer dungeon Dark Citadel. “Party up to take on a new multi-faceted dungeon with powerful challenges and promising rewards. First of its kind to Diablo, this dungeon will require eager warriors to team up and take down the challenge together,” explained Activision Blizzard.

The launch of Vessel Of Hatred will also introduce a number of new updates for the base game as well, including new pets, reworked skills for all classes and an expanded version of the Tree Of Whispers. It will also increase the max level cap to 60 alongside a range of “seasonal content” and other updates. Check out the full announcement here.
