The Shins, Iron & Wine and More Reunite For One-Night Only Performance of ‘Garden State’ Soundtrack

2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the acclaimed indie film Garden State – and on March 29, a star-studded celebration will take over the Los Angeles’ Greek Theater.

Nearly every artist featured on the Grammy-winning soundtrack – including The Shins, Iron & Wine, Frou Frou and more – will join forces for a one-night only performance of their contributions to the album. The soundtrack peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 and won the 2005 Grammy for best compilation soundtrack for visual media.

And while soundtrack artists not currently announced include Coldplay and Simon & Garfunkel, the event promises a live performance of every track, “very special guests” including cast members to be announced at a later date and exclusive limited-edition merchandise from Aviator Nation.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Midnight Mission, a homeless shelter and services provider founded in L.A. in 1914. Indie-rock artist Cary Brothers, whose song “Blue Eyes” appears on the Garden State soundtrack, introduced the film’s director and star, Zach Braff, to the organization. Braff has been a volunteer since.

“We have a very special night planned with many more surprises to come,” Braff said in a statement. “It will be extra special knowing we are giving back to the community via the Midnight Mission.”

“Opportunities like this are incredibly rare,” said executive producer Laura Glass. “I’m truly honored to produce a show that not only celebrates the profound impact of this once-in-a-generation soundtrack but also supports families facing homelessness.”

Tickets are available starting today (Friday, Oct. 18) and are available through the Greek Theater website.
