Chris Pratt criticises actors with “shitty attitudes”: “Come on and pull your head out”
Chris Pratt hit out at entitled actors while at New York Comic Con last week, explaining that a bad attitude can ruin things for everyone.
Pratt, who was on the panel for his upcoming movie The Electric State, said that his fellow actors have no reason to complain about the opportunities they’re offered in their careers.
Bringing in the movie’s directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, also on the panel, he said (via People), “Look, these guys can attest to this, because they’re the same way, like, there’s no room for shitty attitudes there,” he said. “You can’t have a bad attitude in moviemaking. It ruins everything for everyone, and then you don’t last long.”
He continued: “It sucks when people have a crappy attitude. So when you show up on set, there’s no reason why you should… Like, ‘Oh, are you having a hard time living your dream? Is that tough for you today?’ Like, come on and pull your head out.”
Pratt didn’t name any names, but elsewhere at the panel, he did speak positively about his The Electric State co-star Millie Bobby Brown. “She’s just incredible,” he said. “She was surrounded by all these animals… They would yell cut, and she’d go to her home, and she’s finding a home for, like, some pygmy goat to be adopted and organizing a U-Haul full of pit bull puppies to be taken to Indiana. Like, she has such a huge heart, such a love for animals.
“And so we had a great time. We became fast friends, and you can’t get rid of me. Sorry.”
The Electric State, based on the 2018 graphic novel of the same name, is set for release on Netflix on March 14, 2025. As well as Pratt and Brown, the sci-fi adventure comedy-drama features Stanley Tucci, Ke Huy Quan, Woody Norman, Martin Klebba and Giancarlo Esposito, while the likes of Jason Alexander, Woody Harrelson and Brian Cox provide voices.
According to Netflix, Brown plays Michelle, an orphaned teenager “navigating life in a society where sentient robots resembling cartoons and mascots, who once served peacefully among humans, now live in exile following a failed uprising.”
Last week, meanwhile, Pratt’s wife Katherine Schwarzenegger – Arnold’s daughter – revealed that she’s expecting her third child and Pratt’s fourth.
