Watch Will Ferrell give out spankings and deliver Ultimate DJ House Party in Chicago

Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell was seen giving out spankings while delivering what he called Will Ferrell’s Ultimate House Party in Chicago. See footage from that night below.

Last Saturday (October 26), the event was held at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena, with a line-up of DJs that included Swedish House Mafia, A-Trak, D-Nice and of course Ferrell himself, who was last spotted DJing at a frat party last year in the university his son attends.

Will Ferrell’s Ultimate House Party was organised as a benefit event for Cancer For College, a charity that offers support to cancer survivors. Ferrell is set to host another similar event, this time titled Will Ferrell’s Holiday Jam, in December that’s headlined by Dogstar, the alternative rock band that features Keanu Reeves as bassist.

In one clip from the Ultimate House Party event, Ferrell is seen giving out (and receiving) spankings onstage, while others show a raucous crowd responding to Ferrell and co-headliners Swedish House Mafia with aplomb (including A-Trak, who geeks out in a tweet after Ferrell says his name during his set).

The EDM trio’s Axwell also shared a photo of the actor during their set, saying their inclusion was “such a big honour”.

Last month, Ferrell spoke out against transphobia as part of his press tour for the Netflix documentary Will & Harper, which focuses on the friendship between Ferrell and Harper Steele. The two met on Saturday Night Live during the ‘90s and Steele came out as transgender 30 years into their friendship.

When asked to speak about his opinion on why transphobia exists, Ferrell replied: “I think we fear what we don’t know.

“There is hatred out there. It’s very real and it’s very unsafe for trans people in certain situations…But I don’t know why trans people are meant to be threatening to me as a cis male. I don’t know why Harper is threatening to me.”

He continued: “It’s so strange to me, because Harper is finally…her…She’s finally who she was always meant to be. Whether or not you can ultimately wrap your head around that, why would you care if somebody’s happy? Why is that threatening to you? If the trans community is a threat to you, I think it stems from not being confident or safe with yourself.”
