Alex Wolff has spoken about forming a “musical spark” with Billie Eilish that led to their current tour together.

The Hereditary actor’s musical project with his brother, Nat & Alex Wolff, is opening on Eilish’s ongoing ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ tour, while the trio recently collaborated on single ‘Soft Kissing Hour’.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Wolff detailed how he and Eilish connected at the Oscars and Coachella, admitting he’s “not really sure” if the ‘Birds Of A Feather’ singer was a fan of their music beforehand.

“We just met and hit it off [at an Oscars party], and then there was a weekend at Coachella where we played songs back and forth,” he recalled. “There was this musical spark that went off, and it was just an immediate connection.

“And then Nat [Wolff] played her his new song ‘Soft Kissing Hour,’ and she just said, ‘Oh, I want to produce that song.’ So we got really lucky that she produced it and sang on it, and it’s one of our favorites that we’ve made.”

Wolff called it “a great privilege to get to have her as a friend and to get to play music with her”, adding: “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We really believe she’s the voice of her generation.”

As well as Hereditary, Wolff recently starred in Oppenheimer and A Quiet Place: Day One.

Eilish is currently in the middle of the North American leg of her ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ tour, which will be hitting the UK and Ireland next summer – including six nights at London’s O2 Arena. You can click here for any remaining North American tickets, and here for UK and Ireland tickets.

Meanwhile, Eilish recently shared her shock at learning that Rihanna wanted her as a dream musical collaborator. Responding in her Instagram Stories, Eilish wrote: “What in the absolute fuck oh my god what the fuck”.

Last month, Eilish performed her songs ‘Birds Of A Feather’ and ‘Wildflower’ on Saturday Night Live alongside her brother Finneas.
