Tom Hardy Describes the First Time He Met Eminem: ‘I Felt Like a Real D–k’
A few years ago, Tom Hardy met Eminem backstage at a show and it didn’t go quite as the British actor expected.
Hardy stopped by DJ Whoo Kid’s Whoo’s House Podcast a couple weeks ago and told the G-Unit affiliate about the time he met the Detroit rapper for the first time.
“I went to his concert and I felt sorry for him because I got ushered to his dressing room backstage to say hello,” he told Whoo Kid. “And he had to take a photo with me and I felt like a real d–k. He’s nice but he had to go on stage. So it’s like he’s prepping to do his job and then some idiot like me comes in and was like, ‘Hey!’ He just deadpanned me. [Laughs] I was like, ‘OK. Now is not the time, we’ll save this for another time.’”
Tom Hardy is promoting the third installment of his Spider-Man-adjacent Venom film series. Em contributed to the first movie’s soundtrack in 2018 with the titular song and remixed it when the sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage was released in 2021. He also had another song in the sequel with Skylar Grey, Polo G and Mozzy called “Last One Standing.” We wonder if he knows Tom moonlights as a rapper? Because they should’ve linked up for one of these three soundtracks. The actor goes by Frankie Pulitzer when he hops in the booth and has collaborated with underground rap group Czarface, with some of their songs being featured in Venom 2. He recently met Busta Rhymes on set, with the rap legend teasing a collaboration in a social media post.
