Donna Kelce Says Taylor Swift Might Be Too ‘Busy’ To Join Her Family For Thanksgiving This Year

Taylor Swift kicked off the final-final run of her Eras Tour on Thursday night (Nov. 14) in Toronto, marking the beginning of the end of what has been a record-setting, globe-hopping adventure of a lifetime for the singer and her fans. And because celebrities are not really like us, there’s a good chance she won’t make it home for Thanksgiving because of her schedule.

Well, actually, it sounds like she won’t make it to boyfriend Travis Kelce’s house, according to Kelce family matriarch Donna K. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s mom stopped by the Today Show on Thursday (Nov. 14), where she was asked if Taylor would be joining her family for turkey day this year.

“I don’t think so. She’s kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do,” Donna Kelce said about Swift’s last run of Eras dates in Canada, which include five more gigs at Rogers Centre in Toronto; those gigs will wind down on Nov. 23, before picking up again on Dec. 6 at BC Place in Vancouver. Technically, that gives Taylor enough time off to jet home for some turkey before heading up north again.

Whether Taylor makes it or not, Donna said the Kelce’s will be plenty busy during Thanksgiving week because Travis and the Chiefs play a home game at Arrowhead Stadium the Friday after the holiday (Nov. 29) against the Las Vegas Raiders and she’s definitely going to that game to see if her son’s team can continue their undefeated streak this season. “I think we’re just going to be at the football game,” she said.

Donna also stuck around to cook up her signature Mama Kelce’s Dinner Rolls, which, she noted, Taylor — who began dating Travis during the summer of 2023 — has not yet tasted. Watch Donna on The Today Show below.
