Portishead’s Beth Gibbons announces 2025 London show – the weekend of Glastonbury
Beth Gibbons has announced a one-off live show for 2025, taking place in London on the same weekend as Glastonbury.
The Portishead singer, songwriter and lyricist will be heading to Camden in the summer, and performing a show at the Roundhouse venue on June 27.
It has been shared as a stand-alone date, and comes in celebration of her debut solo album, ‘Lives Outgrown’. Shared back in May, the project came 10 years in the making, and included singles such as ‘Lost Changes’, ‘Reaching Out’ and ‘Floating On A Moment’.
Tickets for the Roundhouse show will go on sale this Friday (November 29) at 9am GMT. Pre-sale options will also be available from tomorrow (November 27) to those who sign up to the artists’ mailing list.

While the new Roundhouse show comes as a one-off gig planned for the UK next summer, it is worth noting that the gig happens to be at the same time that Glastonbury Festival returns to the Worthy Farm site for the 2025 edition. This means Gibbons would be in the area of the festival as it takes place and a potential performer.
If she does later confirm a slot at Glasto 2025, it won’t be her first appearance at the site. Back in 2003 she performed a solo slot at the Acoustic Stage, and she has also performed there as part of Portishead in 1995, 1998 and 2013.
Glastonbury will be held at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, and next year’s edition will run from June 25 to 29. It has already been confirmed that this will be the last instalment of the festival before it takes a fallow year in 2026.
So far, only one artist has been announced for next year’s edition of the festival. This comes as Rod Stewart was confirmed for next year’s Legend Slot earlier this morning (November 26). He previously headlined Glastonbury back in 2002 alongside Coldplay and Stereophonics, and follows the likes of Shania Twain, Yusuf / Cat Stevens, Diana Ross, Kylie Minogue, Dolly Parton and Barry Gibb in taking on the prestigious Sunday Slot.
The first line-up poster for Glastonbury is usually unveiled in early March. Current headliner rumours include Sam Fender, Green Day, Olivia Rodrigo and Lady Gaga. There has been speculation around a potential set from Alanis Morrisette too.
