Kacey Musgraves addresses concertgoer who grabbed her arm: “She kinda ruined it for everybody”
Kacey Musgraves has addressed the moment a concertgoer grabbed her arm at one of her latest shows while on tour.
The ‘High Horse’ singer took over the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on November 29 as part of her ongoing ‘Deeper Well’ world tour. During her set, Musgraves took a moment to walk through the standing area of the crowd as she made her way to the B stage from the main stage.
While walking through the fans in Tampa, an excited attendee took the opportunity to Grab Musgraves’ arm and yank her to the side. “What the Fuck?” the singer exclaimed during the interaction.

The following night (November 30), Musgraves took a moment to address the interaction at her show at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. “Last night, this Tampa bitch, y’all,” she told the arena, who responded with boos. “She kinda ruined it for everybody. I thought I was gonna have to get real East Texas on her, ” she added while miming taking off her earrings and getting ready to fight.
The singer then took to her official Instagram account and added to her statement by sharing an Instagram Story that read: “btw this is not okay and they’re lucky I didn’t instinctively swing,” (as per Stereogum).

Musgraves’ ongoing tour is in support of her sixth album ‘Deeper Well’. In a three-star review of the LP, NME shared that the record “vibrates with the excitement of a fresh start”. It continues, sharing that the singer “lives in a state of suspended animation, reeling out self-care mantras without worrying if they will seem embarrassing years later. Relationships and stoner jokes have preoccupied the 35-year-old’s work since the beginning – “I ain’t pageant material / I’m always higher than my hair”, she sang in 2015 – but here, she posits a way out from both: moving on and never looking back.”
In other news, Musgraves and Nickel Creek treated fans to an acoustic live cover of SZA’s ‘Kill Bill’ earlier this year.
