SEVENTEEN Shut Down the Beach & the Streets With ‘Love, Money, Fame’ Performance at Billboard Music Awards
At the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (Dec. 12), SEVENTEEN pulled double duty; not only did the K-pop titans deliver a show-stopping performance of “Love, Money, Fame,” but they also took home their very first BBMA for Top K-pop Touring Artist.
Kicking things off on Los Angeles’ Wilshire Boulevard, the 13 suave members of SEVENTEEN dazzled the city streets with perfectly in-sync choreography, sharp formations and smooth live vocals and raps. The Artist 100-topping group performed “Love, Money, Fame,” the DJ-Khaled assisted lead single from their latest EP, Spill the Feels (Oct. 14). Although Khaled did not appear for the performance, SEVENTEEN kept their set as dynamic as ever by traveling from the streets to the beach midway through the song. With feverish crowds in front of them and a picturesque ocean scene in the background, SEVENTEEN closed their performance highlighting the special connection between them and their fans during live sets.
In just two months of release, “Love, Money, Party” has already started heating up the Billboard charts. The R&B and hip-hop-infused track has climbed to No. 50 on the Global 200 and No. 4 on World Digital Song Sales, earning SEVENTEEN their landmark 25th top 10 hit on the latter ranking.
SEVENTEEN’s seismic 2024 BBMAs experience didn’t stop there; the beloved group also shared a heartfelt message to their CARATs while accepting their Top K-pop Touring Artist award.
“First and foremost, this wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing fans, CARATs,” said Joshua. “We try to make it up to you with good music and performances, but you always seem to find a way to surprise us with even more love. So thank you so much, and please know that we feel your support every step of the way.”
Vernon continued: “Being in the middle of our Right Here World Tour right now as we speak, this award is even more meaningful to us. We’ll take it as a reminder to keep going and bring our music as close to the audience as possible. Once again, we want to thank our CARATs and everyone who joined us on the SEVENTEEN Right Here World Tour. We promise to continue creating music that brings good energy and happiness. Thank you. Say the name, SEVENTEEN!”
SEVENTEEN is the second-ever act to win this BBMAs category; Top K-pop Touring Artist was introduced at the 2023 ceremony with BLACKPINK as the inaugural winner.
The U.S. leg of SEVENTEEN’s Right Here Tour has spawned several iconic moments, including the group’s Stateside stadium debut at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium (Nov. 9 and 10). The Right Here Tour began on Oct. 12 with the first of two shows at South Korea’s Goyang Stadium and will wrap on Feb. 16, 2025, with the last of two shows at Thailand’s Rajamangala National Stadium. The group’s new trek follows their Follow Tour, which visited 13 different stadiums across Asia.
SEVENTEEN has earned six top 10 titles on the Billboard 200, including 2022’s Face the Sun (No. 7), 2023’s FML (No. 2) and 2024’s Spill the Feels (No. 5). On Top Album Sales, they have earned six chart-toppers dating back to 2021’s Attacca.
The Billboard Music Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Corporation. PMC is also the parent company of Billboard.
