Paul McCartney rumoured to play another surprise, intimate New York gig tonight
Paul McCartney is rumoured to play another surprise, intimate show in New York tonight (February 12).
The soloist and Beatles icon took to the stage at the 575-capacity Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan last night (February 11), after announcing the tiny gig shortly beforehand on social media.
Tickets for the set – dubbed ‘Paul McCartney Rocks The Bowery’ – were available on a first-come, first-served basis, and limited to one per person. No phones or audio or video recording was allowed. The rare event sold out almost instantly.
McCartney treated fans who had managed to bag a ticket to a 22-track setlist comprising solo material, Beatles classics and Wings music (see it in full below).
Now, there is talk of Macca returning to the Bowery today for a second small show.
In a review of last night’s performance, Variety noted that “both of the Max McNown concerts originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at the Bowery have been moved uptown to the Irving Plaza”.
Elsewhere, Setlist.FM currently lists a page for another Bowery gig for McCartney tonight. Fans on social media are also speculating that a second date is scheduled to be announced soon.
One person who attended last night’s show wrote on Reddit that they “did hear some people say that there may be other shows this week”, with Macca being in New York for the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special.
Additionally, fans have noticed that the official merchandise on sale at yesterday’s gig said ‘New York, NY – February 2025’ – instead of including one specific date.
Sharing a series of official photographs from last night’s concert on social media, Macca wrote: “BOWERY! You ROCKED!” See that post above, and check out some fan posts and full setlist below.

Last year McCartney went on his ‘Got Back’ 2024 tour. At the final show at London’s O2 in December, he was joined onstage by his former Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr and The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood.
In other news, Paul McCartney recently teased that he hoped to finish a new solo album in 2025.
“I’ve been working on a lot of songs, and have had to put it to the side because of the tour,” he explained. “So, I’m hoping to get back into that and finish up a lot of these songs. So, how’s about that? ‘My New Year’s resolution is to finish a new album!’”
Meanwhile, the musician has said that proposed changes to copyright law would allow AI to rip off artists and result in a “loss of creativity”. His stance on the situation has since been backed by Elton John.
