The first two seasons of the show, set in the world of stand-up comedy, had been broadcast via Amazon Prime Video in the UK, but when the third season premiered in May 2024 in the US on HBO and Max, it failed to find a home this side of the Atlantic.
That issue was resolved recently when it was revealed that Sky had exclusively acquired the rights to seasons three and four of the multi-Emmy-winning series. The third season launched on Sky and NOW TV on February 7, while a 10-episode fourth season is expected in May. Sky and NOW will also now carry the first two seasons too, allowing fans to watch the show’s complete saga.
Hacks was created by Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs and Jen Statsky and it centres on the professional relationship between a young comedy writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder) and the legendary stand-up comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart).
