Billboard 2025 The Stage at SXSW Announces Opening Acts For Koe Wetzel, Grupo Frontera, John Summit Shows

Billboard announced the opening acts for its The Stage at SXSW concert series during this year’s annual gathering in Austin, TX on Friday (Feb. 21). Joining previously announced headliners Koe Wetzel, Grupo Frontera and John Summit at the concert series at the iconic Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park from March 13-15 are a group of complimentary openers beginning with country singer-songwriter Ashley Cooke, who will take the stage on the 13th before “Hell Paso” singer Wetzel.

The next night will feature Latin Grammy Award nominee Mexican singer-songwriter Majo Aguilar, who will warm things up for Música Mexicana superstars Grupo Frontera. The March 15 gig will pair Los-Angeles-via-Miami DJ Nala opening for global EDM star Summit.

Tickets for the Billboard THE STAGE at SXSW shows are on sale now through Ticketmaster with a reserved amount being held exclusively for existing SXSW Platinum and Music Badge holders, as well as SXSW Music Festival wristband holders. For more details about purchasing tickets, click here.

Coinciding with the three shows, there will be a series of other experiences for attendees, including Carnival Cruise Line’s Celebration Key-inspired experience featuring themed pedicabs and a tropical paradise zone in the venue. In addition, Azzaro Parfums will have fragrance sampling stations throughout the event where guests can sample the company’s WANTED collection.

Bulleit Frontier Whiskey will host a 21+ lounge with a private bar and a relax zone between sets where fans can sample whiskeys and signature cocktails, while REVERB is offering one fan a chance to win a VIP trip to the festival that will include access to THE STAGE, as well as a meet-and-greet with Wetzel; click here to enter the contest.

This year’s SXSW music festival will take place from March 10-15 and will feature sets from Sunflower Bean, Jack’s Mannequin, Sofia Reyes, Samara Cyn, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, King Cruff, Milkweed, Murdocks, PSYCHIC FEVER, Tommy Newport and hundreds of others.
