Stereolab announce world tour and reissue campaign ahead of 35th anniversary

Stereolab

Stereolab have announced a world tour and album reissue campaign ahead of their 35th anniversary as a band this year.

The art-rock group’s founding members Lætitia Sadier and Tim Gane reunited in 2019 with former bandmates Andy Ramsay and Joseph Watson after an initial run from 1990 to 2009.

Since then, the five-piece have toured the world and reissued their albums on vinyl as expanded editions that included rare demos and extensive liner notes. This year, the band intends to undertake a huge trek across North America and Europe.

The band’s 2025 tour, announced yesterday (February 27), will begin in Europe from May to June, followed by a trek through North America run from September to November, and then a final December stretch in the UK. See the full list of dates below.

Tickets will go onsale at 10am local time today – find all ticket links here.

Stereolab also intend to reissue seven of their albums – from 1993’s ‘Transient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements’ to 2004’s ‘Margerine Eclipse’ – as standard editions that the band promise will “have a lower price point that will help fans and shops in the current economic environment”, the band’s manager Martin Pike wrote in a statement.

“These new editions will use the 2019 remastered tracks, but they will no longer include the disk of demos or the track-by-track notes,” Pike revealed in an Instagram post. “The sleevenotes will be added to the archive on our website, and the demo versions will still be available to stream or purchase digitally.”

The albums are now available to order from today (February 28) here.
