Watch FLO and Chy Cartier tease remix for ‘Get It Till I’m Gone’
FLO have teased a remix for their song ‘Get It Till I’m Gone’ featuring Chy Cartier.
During a BRITs afterparty last weekend (March 1) the group – who were shortlisted for the award for R&B Act at the annual music ceremony – and Chy Cartier got behind the DJ decks and performed an unreleased remix of ‘Get It Till I’m Gone’ – a fan-favourite from their debut album ‘Access All Areas‘.
The X/Twitter blog UK Rap Daily shared a video of the NME 100 alums dancing along to the track, mostly capturing Cartier performing her unreleased verse for the first time.
She is heard rapping: “I’m like, ‘What’s the problem?’ / Lately, you’ve been getting a little too comfy / You’re nothing to replace, and I got options / Big prize, no lies / You forgetting, I had you falling like Humpty / Your attitude worst than mine / This n****’s moving like he got a monthly.”

FLO’s Renee Downer shared another snippet of Cartier’s verse that coincidentally picks up exactly where the previous video does, with the latter rapping the extra line: “But he won’t get it till I’m gone / ‘Cah I’m the one to get my lick back.” At the time of writing, there is no release date for the song.

The teaser came days before FLO postponed their UK and European tour. In a long statement, they reasoned: “Towards the end of our rehearsals, Renee damaged the ligaments in her knee and, whilst – alongside our team – we have tried our best to find a solution, we just aren’t able to give you the show we want at this time and a tour that you deserve.”

FLO’s debut LP ‘Access All Areas‘ was released back in November. In a four-star review of the album, NME shared: “On ‘Access All Areas’, FLO have it all down pat: the talent, charisma and star power are all on display. Riding on the wave of nostalgia has gotten the trio this far, and now it feels as if they’ve within striking distance of a true breakthrough. Even if ‘Access All Areas’ doesn’t overwhelmingly herald the return of R&B girl group dominance, the massive momentum FLO have built over the past two years hint that the dam is about to break.”
Recently, while walking the BRITs red carpet, FLO spoke to NME about being the only pop-R&B group in the UK and welcomed challengers.
“Well, it would be nice to see more R&B girl groups because we’re holding it down,” Jorja Douglas told NME. “Come through girl groups, we need a bit of rivalry in this life! It gets boring being the only girl group, and it’d be a bit more fun [with more of us]. Rivalry aside, we are about girl power so the more women, the merrier.”
In other news, Chy Cartier made it onto this year’s NME 100 list, which celebrates emerging artists on the brink of worldwide success. She also has a debut mixtape in the works and she recently shared her latest single from the record ‘SN’ on the YouTube performance platform COLORSXSTUDIOS yesterday (March 6).
