Nicole Kidman “would do anything” to be cast in ‘The White Lotus’ season four
Nicole Kidman would be up for a role in the next season of The White Lotus, she revealed at the weekend.
The actress, who starred in the erotic thriller Babygirl with Harris Dickinson last year, was asked by IndieWire at the premiere of her new movie Holland if she’d ever be interested in joining a new season of the HBO show, directed by Mike White.
Kidman, who co-produced and appears in Holland, said of The White Lotus, which has been renewed for a fourth season, “I don’t think I’ve ever been asked. I’m a massive fan of Mike White, so I would do anything he writes, because I just think he’s phenomenal. I love The White Lotus. So there you go.”
The third season of the anthology comedy-drama series premiered on February 16 – over two years after season two ended – and is set to run until April 6. It’s set in Thailand, after the first two seasons were set in Hawaii and the Italian island of Sicily respectively, and saw Blackpink’s Lisa join the cast. UK viewers can watch The White Lotus on Sky Atlantic, Sky Go and NOW.
NME gave season three a four-star review, calling the series “TV’s most essential destination” and adding: “No one can write a scene where one character pretends not to remember another quite as exquisitely as White. Tanya [McQuoid] may be gone, but this transgressive soap opera remains unique and completely jaw-dropping.

In the Mimi Cave-directed Holland, which will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video from March 27, meanwhile, Kidman plays teacher Nancy Vandergroot, who suspects her husband Fred (Matthew Macfadyen) of having an affair. She ropes in her colleague Dave Delgado (Gael García Bernal) to help her uncover his secrets, while Rachel Sennott, Jude Hill, Jeff Pope and Lennon Parham all also appear.
In other Kidman news, she shared in December that she nearly retired from acting after having her first child in 2008. She told CBS News that, after giving birth to Sunday Rose, it took her mother to persuade her not to give up acting.
“When I gave birth to Sunday I was like, ‘Well, I think I’m pretty much done now,’” she explained. “We were living on a farm, and that’s when my mother said, ‘I wouldn’t give up completely. Keep a finger sort of in it.’ And I’m like, ‘No, no. I’m done now. I’m done.’ She’s going, ‘Just listen to me. Keep moving forward. Not saying that you have to do it to the level you’ve been doing it, but I wouldn’t give it up completely.’”
