Linkin Park announce new single, ‘Up From The Bottom’: “It’s the best song we’ve ever made”

Speaking to Billboard at the iHeartRadio Music Awards recently, the band were asked about upcoming music after teasing earlier this month that they were already back in the studio. Confirming a new single to Billboard, rapper/guitarist Mike Shinoda and co. revealed that the track is titled ‘Up From The Bottom’ and will be out next week.

‘Up From The Bottom’ is due for release on Thursday, March 27, and will be accompanied by a brand new music video. DJ/producer Joe Hahn dubbed the upcoming track as “the best song we’ve ever made,” with Shinoda chiming in to say he thinks it’s also the “best music video” that Linkin Park have made to date.

Speaking on the music video, Hahn shared that it’s “a little bit mind-bending” and that it has to do with the song. Shinoda also confirmed that people only know one lyric of the song – seen in the studio footage they released earlier this month – but that they don’t know what’s coming next.

Elsewhere, the band spoke about their extensive tour plans for 2025, which will see them kicking off a run in North America next week. Then, they’ll head to the Europe and UK for a slew of shows that includes a stop at Wembley Stadium on June 28 – see all announced tour dates here.

‘Up From The Bottom’ will mark their first release since their 2024 comeback album ‘From Zero’. The album was given a three-star review by NME, which described the record as having “an intriguing mix of sensational, knockout stadium rock and some perplexingly tired songwriting”.

“Crucially, ‘From Zero’ must be viewed as a reset, exemplified by its title which pays homage to the band’s former name: Xero,” it read. “Therefore, any inevitable comparisons to their largely masterful discography must bear in mind the place from which ‘From Zero’ was born: an organic desire from Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Shinoda to create together as Linkin Park once more.”
