Meet Maz, one of the protagonists behind the “Brazilian Storm”
Not many artists had a bigger 2022 than Maz, his “Banho de Folhas” remix became a worldwide hit, recieving strong supports from incredible artists such as Black Coffee, Lee Burridge, Damian Lazarus, Matador, Stephan Jolk, D-Nox, Gorje Hewek, Dosem, Durante, Simon Doty, Enamour, to mention a few. “Banho de Folhas” took the Brazilian sound identity all around the Globe and consolidated Maz’s name internationally.
The Brazilian Afro House song broke the EDM bubble and reached international pop stars such as Drake; he was recorded dancing to the song in Saint Tropez during a Keinemusik Crue’s show. Following that, the Brazilian superstar singer Anitta went on to say that “Banho de Folhas” was his favorite song at the moment which proves that the song has an undeniable worldwide appeal.
More recently, Maz caught the interest of Michael Bibi, one of the most influential Tech House producers to date. He featured the song during his mini-tour in Brazil, at Rio de Janeiro, and at the legendary club El Fortin.
Following up “Banho de Folhas”, Maz released an impressive tune with Antdot, “Todo Homem”, a remix for Zeca Veloso, the son of one of the most recognizable and respected Brazilian artists to ever live, Caetano Veloso. The track went on to rank as #1 Organic House on Beatport 1 week after its release.
