Bad Bunny Is Exhausted But Grateful to Be Hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’: ‘I Need to Sleep’
Bad Bunny is burning the candle at both ends as he prepares to host and perform on Saturday Night Live Oct. 21 — and when it’s all over, he’s ready for a nap.
The Latin music titan stopped by The Tonight Show on Thursday night (Oct. 19), two days ahead of his hosting debut, and confirmed that the week-long process of putting together the weekend live show is just as exhausting as it sounds. “I need to sleep,” he joked to Jimmy Fallon, who understood completely an SNL alum himself.
“I’ve been enjoying the process, all the cast and the producers,” continued the “WHERE SHE GOES” musician. “The vibe is very cool. I’m grateful and I’m very excited about this Saturday.”
He didn’t give up any details about the sketches he and the SNL cast have planned for Saturday, but he did say: “Va estar bueno,” which translates to, “It’s going to be good.”
Bunny’s Tonight Show visit comes a day after SNL shared a hilarious promo video starring the three-time Grammy winner. In the clip, Benito squares up against his own clone, trading insults in both English and Spanish. The comedy show also posted a compilation of teasers featuring Benito schooling cast member Heidi Gardner on how to correctly pronounce the name of his homeland, “Puerto Rico.”
In other Bad Bunny news, the global superstar recently surprise-dropped his album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana, which earned him the record for Spotify’s most-streamed LP in a single day. On Thursday (Oct. 19), he announced plans to embark on a tour next year.
Earlier in their interview, Fallon asked Benito about how it feels to perform at award shows now that he’s such a big star, with other A-list artists like Taylor Swift dancing along to his sets. “Taylor Swift just likes to dance to everybody’s music,” he shrugged. “So I know she’s gonna be hopping.”
