‘Family Guy’ roasts Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in new parody
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been satirised in a new episode of Family Guy.
In the third episode of season 22, which aired last Sunday (October 22), Peter Griffin (Seth MacFarlane) remarks that he’ll “go it alone like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry”, who stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020.
The show then cuts to an aside featuring a cartoon version of the couple lying by the pool, where a butler approaches Harry and says: “Sir, your millions from Netflix for… no one knows what.”
After Harry says to “put it with the rest of them”, Meghan asks Harry: “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.”
“I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense,” Harry replies. Check out the clip below.
Harry and Meghan signed a multi-year Netflix deal in September 2020 reportedly worth around $100million, although the deal’s exact worth is unknown.
Following the deal, the couple have produced several shows including the documentary series Harry & Meghan, Live To Lead and 2023’s Heart Of Invictus, a project about the Invictus Games which was founded by Harry.
Harry and Meghan were previously targeted by South Park in a parody earlier this year, which depicted the couple as the Prince and Princess of Canada on a “worldwide privacy tour”.
Created by Seth MacFarlane, Family Guy first began in 1999 and is currently in its 22nd season. Fox renewed the show through to season 23 in January this year.
