Against The Current’s Chrissy Costanza shares new ‘Final Fantasy 14’ raid song
Against The Current‘s Chrissy Costanza has shared a new song for Final Fantasy 14’s new Arcadion raid series.
‘Give It All’ is a soaring, uplifting pop-rock anthem and can be heard while playing through the recently-launched Arcadion raid. It was created alongside legendary video game composer Masayoshi Soken, who’s worked across the soundtrack for Final Fantasy 14 and Final Fantasy 16.
“I’m so excited to let you know that I’ve collaborated with Final Fantasy 14 on a song for their new raid series The Arcadion. This collaboration was such a dream come true, it was amazing getting to work with Final Fantasy 14 and such an honour to work with Soken-san. I cannot wait for you to hear the song,” Costanza said in a message on Instagram.
“If you’ve already played through the raid bosses, you *have* already heard it but if not, best of luck in the raid and when you’re playing, don’t forget to turn up the volume a little bit higher.”
The Arcadion is a level 100, 8-player raid that was released as part of Final Fantasy 14’s Dawntrail expansion. “Here at the Arcadion, you’ll find a grand spectacle unlike any other. The realm’s greatest fighters pit fist against fist and magick against magick, putting their lives on the line as crowds howl and clamor, each clash more visceral than the last. Step into the arena if you dare, and either rise to become champion, or fall forever in ignominy,” reads a description of the event.
Costanza has previously worked on a trio of League Of Legends anthems: 2022’s ‘Wildfire’, 2017’s ‘Legends Never Die’ and 2019’s Phoenix’. She is also currently working on her own video game Starfall.
Earlier this week, Chrissy Costanza launched her own solo project with debut single ‘7 Minutes In Hell’ ahead of a headline tour. “For years, I was bound by others’ expectations, always questioning why I was drawn to what they deemed ‘wrong.’ This song is the awakening after falling from grace, realising that what they called Hell might actually be my freedom,” she said of the track.
In other news, Ubisoft has released an apology after footage of Assassin’s Creed Shadows drew criticism for how it depicted Feudal Japan.
