Anderson .Paak announces one-off show at London’s iconic Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club
Anderson .Paak has announced a one-off show at London’s iconic Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.
Fresh off the back of his 2024 ‘Malibu’ tour, the musician is set to perform at Ronnie Scott’s on May 26. He’ll be joined by his band The Free Nationals, along with special guests, trumpeter Maurice Brown and R&B duo GAWD.
.Paak will join other legends like Prince, The Rolling Stones, Ella Fitzgerald and more in performing at the iconic venue, which has operated since 1959. Jimi Hendrix played his final public performance at the club in 1970 – just two days before he tragically died.

Along with his ‘Malibu’ tour, .Paak recently played a FireAid benefit concert alongside Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Rod Stewart, and many more. Amongst other notable highlights, the concert saw Dr. Dre join .Paak for ‘California Love’ and ‘Still Dre’ with Shelia E.
The event was first announced earlier this month in support of the victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires and took place last January.
We last spoke to .Paak in October last year, where the musician spoke about his directorial debut K-Pops debuting at Toronto Film Festival. .Paak told us he was “inspired by my son in quarantine.
“I was stuck at the house, couldn’t tour,” he began. “So then I was like, ‘OK, what are we doing?’ And my son was like: ‘I want to do YouTube.’ OK, what the hell is that? I was checking out his page. I was like, OK, let’s do some skits, and then I’m going to post them on my page, and we can get you some subscribers. Then I started realising how much of a natural he was in front of the camera, and he inspired me to write a script for us.
“My whole household was obsessed with K-pop,” he continued. “They were really obsessed with BTS and I didn’t get it at the time. I was more like, ‘You need to know about BET.’ And they’re like, ‘No, we’re going to show you the concert’ and then I became a fanatic as well. It inspired me to write a movie about creating a bond with my son and how I was able to do that through his interest.”
In other news, Jameson has teamed up with Anderson .Paak and Fender to launch a special guitar, amp and bottle.
