Avril Lavigne to release greatest hits album ahead of Glastonbury 2024
Ahead of her upcoming appearance at Glastonbury 2024, Avril Lavigne has announced details of a new greatest hits album.
The Canadian pop-rock icon is set to release the album on June 21 – just days before she performs at the legendary Worthy Farm festival for the first time.
Comprised of 20 songs, the LP will span the entirety of Lavigne’s music career. This includes fan favourites including the RIAA three-times platinum-certified ‘Complicated’ and two-times platinum-certified ‘Sk8er Boi’. Both are taken from her chart-topping 2002 debut album ‘Let Go’.
More recent tracks are also included, including those from her seventh studio album ‘Love Sux’. These comprise songs such as ‘Bite Me’, ‘Bois Lie’, which saw her collaborate with Machine Gun Kelly, and ‘I’m A Mess’, featuring Yungblud.
It will be available on CD, digital and 12″ vinyl formats, and the latter includes both a black vinyl and a Target-exclusive vinyl neon green pressing. The packaging for the vinyl includes new photos and a personal note to fans from the singer.

The tour commences on May 22 in Vancouver, BC at Rogers Arena, with stops lined up in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Toronto, Charlotte, Chicago and more before ending on September 16 in Edmonton, AB at Rogers Place.
Support will come from All Time Low and Simple Plan, and you can visit here for remaining tickets to North American shows.
As well as US shows and a Glasto debut slot lined up, the singer will also be playing at Mad Cool in Madrid, and has a run of huge outdoor gigs planned across the UK. Visit here for all UK tickets.
The singer’s latest album, ‘Love Sux‘, came out in February of 2022, described by NME in a three-star review as “a modern update on early ’00s pop-punk”. It added: “‘Love Sux’ is a progressive pop-punk album that eschews the old rules – but not at the expense of maximalist, joyful guitar anthems.”
