BADVILLAIN drop music video for ‘Hurricane’
Rookie K-pop girl group BADVILLAIN have dropped a music video for their single ‘Hurricane’.
The song’s accompanying visual was released on July 10 at midnight KST, a little over two weeks since ‘Hurricane’ was officially released on streaming platforms on June 24. The music video features members of BADVILLAIN performing the song and its choreography on desert-like terrain.
“On the screen, on the scene / Oh, they screamin’ / Switchin’ up the vibe, I got a feelin’ / Round me, just wreckage, hurricane / Round me, just wreckage, hurricane,” they croon on the song’s chorus.
An abridged version of ‘Hurricane’ was first unveiled as the soundtrack to a pre-debut performance video by BADVILLAIN showcasing its choreography. It is the girl group’s follow-up single to their eponymous debut single album released on June 3, which featured three tracks: a title track of the same name, ‘YAH-HO (BADTITUDE)’ and ‘+82’.
Comprising members Emma, Vin, Chloe Young, HU’E, Yunseo, Kelly and INA, the septet have become the second girl group under BPM Entertainment, after it launched the trio VIVIZ – formed by three former GFRIEND members – in 2022. The company is also home to acts like Taemin of SHINee, singer-songwriter Lee Mu-jin and ex-NU’EST’s Ren.
In other K-pop news, BLACKPINK member Lisa has been announced as a co-headliner for Global Citizen Festival 2024, alongside Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll and Rauw Alejandro. Marking her debut solo festival performance, Global Citizen Festival 2024 is slated to take place in New York’s Central Park Great Lawn on September 28.
