Bambie Thug shares “probably one of the best Halloween songs ever that you can also listen to all year round” with ‘Fangtasy’
Bambie Thug has shared a spooky new song called ‘Fangtasy’ – just in time for Halloween. You can listen to it below.
The self-proclaimed ‘ouija-pop’ artist explores themes of “self-empowerment, breaking free from control and standing against manipulation” in the gothic horror-inspired track. It follows on from the songs ‘Hex So Heavy’ and ‘Doomsday Blue’.
“[It’s] probably one of the best Halloween songs ever that you can also listen to all year round,” Bambie Thug explained of their latest offering – which arrives with a suitably supernatural music video, animated by Marco Pavone.
Speaking about the concept behind the visuals, Bambie Thug said: “I wanted to create something fun and playful that would resonate with fans of all ages in my Coven.
“We teamed up with an Italian animation studio to bring the vision to life, but the creative direction and storytelling were all conjured up by my sister, Holly. The characters’ aesthetics were inspired by the incredible fan art I’ve received, especially from a fan named Broonney.”
They continued: “The video is filled with Easter eggs and inside jokes from my time on tour and stars The Darklings, who have my back against all kinds of vampires, both on and off-screen. The animation pulls in references from iconic favourites like The Powerpuff Girls, The Love Witch, Grease and Sabrina: The Animated Series.”

In the anthemic thrasher ‘Fangtasy’, Bambie Thug sings: “Maybe I’m the killer/ I won’t dance to no beat of no vampire/ And I won’t fall for no slippery trap/ I’m going cold, you can burn in my hellfire/ No I don’t bite but I’m ready to snap.”
The artist is currently out on the Irish leg of their 2024 ‘Crown The Witch’ tour, following a recent run of dates in the UK and Europe. Find any remaining tickets here.
In 2025, Bambie Thug will open for BABYMETAL on their UK and European arena tour along with Poppy. The trek includes a concert at The O2 in London (find any remaining tickets here).
Earlier this year, Bambie Thug became the first openly non-binary act to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest with their track ‘Doomsday Blue’.
When speaking to NME at Download 2024 (where they played a powerful, politically-motivated set on the main stage), Bambie Thug was asked what the future held for them. “Going forward, no sleep!” they joked in response.
“I have my headline tour which starts at the end of August and it’ll go all across Europe and the UK. So that’s pretty wild. And maybe I’ll get sharing some new music. I have so much music in the vault to release, so there’s no stopping me for a while. I’m going to sleep when I’m dead.”
