Barry Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter

Barry Keoghan has been filmed grinning to a Sabrina Carpenter song fans claim is about him.

The actor attended two of her concerts over the weekend at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh and the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.

It was during the latter, that he was filmed grinning during the track ‘Bed Chem’, when Carpenter sang the lyrics: ‘Who’s the cute boy with the white jacket and the thick accent?

Many of Carpenter’s fans believe that the lyrics to the song include multiple references to Keoghan as she sings about a man “with a thick accent” and “wide blue eyes.”

It also notes that Carpenter was “in a sheer dress” the day that she met the unnamed man and that he wore a “white jacket,” which many think is a nod to the outfits that they wore at a Givenchy event where they first met.

The song wasn’t the only supposed shout-out that Keoghan received over the weekend.

Multiple outlets also reported that the singer also changed the lyric in ‘Juno’ from “Oh, I hear you knocking baby, come on up” to “Oh, I hear you knocking Barry, come on up” at her Raleigh concert the previous evening.

Elsewhere, Keoghan is set to star in the forthcoming Peaky Blinders movie, which began filming in Birmingham earlier this week.

He is currently starring in the movie Bird, which NME recently awarded five stars and described as a “divisive, life-enhancing masterpiece”. It is out in UK cinemas on November 8.
