Bearded Theory adds Paul Heaton, English Teacher, Nadine Shah, The Lottery Winners and more to stacked 2025 line-up 

Bearded Theory has announced the second wave of artists set to perform at the 2025 edition. Check out the latest names added below.

The upcoming 16th edition of Bearded Theory is due to take place between May 21-25, and will be held in the usual site of Catton Hall, Derbyshire.

Back in October, the first wave of artists was confirmed, with Iggy Pop, Manic Street Preachers, and The Sisters Of Mercy locked in as headliners, and other acts taking to the stage including Leftfield, Yard Act, The Mary Wallopers, Ash, CMAT, Nova Twins and Fat Dog.

Today (January 13), a second wave of artists has been revealed for this year’s instalment, including Paul Heaton and English Teacher.

For Heaton, the upcoming slot at the Derbyshire festival will see the former Housemartins singer take to the stage alongside Rianne Downey, rounding off the Pallet Stage’s impressive lineup of headliners. For English Teacher, the slot comes on the heels of a huge 2024, which saw them release their debut album ‘This Could Be Texas’ and go on to win the coveted Mercury Prize – beating off competition from Charli XCX, Beth Gibbons and more.

Also on the new billing is acclaimed British singer-songwriter Nadine Shah, Bristol-based indie singer Katy J Pearson, Chicago experimental songwriter Ezra Furman, punk rock band Mannequin Pussy, and Manchester’s indie group The Lottery Winners.

For the latter, the slot will come following the release of their upcoming new album ‘KOKO’, as well as on the heels of their upcoming headline tour.

The remainder of new artists joining the Bearded Theory 2025 line-up includes Antony Szmierek, The Alarm, The Vaselines, Gurriers, The Meffs, Du Blonde, and Millie Manders & The Shutup.

Other previously confirmed acts appearing at this year’s instalment include Divorce, Lime Garden, The Lovely Eggs, Throwing Muses, Bess Atwell, The Selecter, Dream State, CLT DRP, Slaney Bay and Asian Dub Foundation.

Headliners for 2024’s instalment included Jane’s Addiction, Future Islands, Amyl And The Sniffers, Sleaford Mods, Orbital, Dinosaur Jr and Bob Vylan.

Elsewhere at that edition, organisers also introduced a new dance-oriented area, CODA, which artists like Orbital, Leeroy Thornhill, and Roni Size appeared at.
