Biffy Clyro add a second date to UK summer shows at 2025 Eden Sessions

Simon Neil and James Johnston of Biffy Clyro perform in 2024

Biffy Clyro have added a second show to their upcoming appearance at the 2025 edition of the Eden Sessions.

News of the initial date was shared earlier this week (February 24), when it was confirmed that the trio would be performing the huge UK gig later this summer.

The first show was scheduled for July 10, and would mark the first time that Simon Neil and brothers James and Ben Johnston brought their live show to Cornwall.

Now, following tickets going on sale yesterday (February 27), another show at the Eden Sessions has been confirmed due to high demand. The new headline slot will take place at the site on July 9, and is also set to see the band break out some of the greatest hits from across their discography.

For both the headline shows, Biffy Clyro will be joined by special guests Nova Twins.

Tickets for the first show are now sold out, and tickets for the July 9 gig go on sale on Monday (March 3) at 3:30pm GMT. Visit here to buy tickets.

“Biffy are one of the most exciting and celebrated British rock bands of recent years and we can’t wait to see them play against the backdrop of the Eden Project Biomes,” said Rita Broe, the managing director of Eden Sessions in a statement earlier this week.

“Biffy always rank highly among bands people would like to see at the Eden Sessions so it’s incredibly exciting to be able to bring them to Cornwall for the first time.”

The shows all extend the number of previously shared tour dates that Biffy have planned for this summer, including a headline slot at TRNSMT Festival, Rock Am Ring and Rock For People.

They also arrive as the trio have been dropping hints about new material online.

Last month, they got the ball rolling when they dropped a video on social media, showing them walking together towards a door, alongside the cryptic caption: “Back at it”. Since then, they have dropped videos of the members in various cities across Europe, with vague captions – leading fans to think that they may be recording new material in Berlin.

If the hints do lead to a full album, it will mark their first record since 2021.

The band rounded off 2024 by revisiting some of their classic albums, playing six sold-out shows in London and Glasgow last October.

Three gigs were announced for each city, and saw them play one album – either ‘Blackened Sky’ (2002), ‘The Vertigo Of Bliss’ (2003) and ‘Infinity Land’ (2004) – in full each night. Carrying on the celebrations, they shared limited edition pressings of their first three albums, and took over the TK Maxx Presents Live at The Piece Hall in Halifax to play their first performance since 2022.
