Billboard Celebrates Latin Power Players 2024: See The Highlights

Billboard Latin Music Week 2024 celebrated its 35-year anniversary and paid tribute to this year’s Power Players List on Monday, October 14.

The intimate event, which took place at Casadonna Miami, was dedicated to the annual list of honorees across various sectors of Latin music with networking, speeches, awards, alongside custom cocktails like the Johnnie Colada and Johnnie Cafe made with Johnnie Walker Black Label.

At the top of the evening, Hannah Karp, Editorial Director, and Leila Cobo, Chief Content Officer of Latin-Español, helped usher in festivities with opening remarks, setting the stage for the honorees. The night’s biggest accolade went to George Prajin for Executive of the Year, who was introduced by none other than his client, Peso Pluma. Separately, Rebeca León, CEO and Founder of Lionfish Entertainment, was honored with the Choice Award. Noah Assad, Junior Carabaño and Raymond Acosta received the 10-Year Impact Award on behalf of Rimas Entertainment. Alex Gallardo of Sony Music took home Top Latin Albums Label of the Year, with Jorge Mejia of Sony Music Latin nabbing the Publishing Corporation of the Year title.
