Billy Ray Cyrus Is ‘So Damn Proud’ of Daughters Miley & Noah Cyrus’ Amid New Music: ‘I’m Actually Crying’

Billy Ray Cyrus is a proud dad.

The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer took to Instagram on Tuesday (March 25) to celebrate his two famous daughters, Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus, as they embark on new musical eras. “Holy s— . I seldom ever swear in my post but this deserves one,” he wrote alongside a split-screen of the sisters. “You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad who with in less than one weeks time has had his a– kicked and his mind blown by not one …but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus @noahcyrus . Flesh and blood … completely taking their art to a whole new level.”

He continued, “Congratulations girls ! Well done. I’m so damn proud of both of you. I’m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy ! 😊 Love Dad.”

Noah is fresh off the release of her new single, a collaboration with Fleet Foxes called “Don’t Put It All on Me,” which was written by her brother Braison. Noah released her debut studio album, The Hardest Part, in 2022, and has released a string of singles since, discovering her sound.

Miley, meanwhile, revealed that her highly anticipated new album is arriving this spring, featuring 13 new songs. In an Instagram post Monday (March 24), Cyrus shared the project’s cover art — an ethereal headshot of the star gazing into the camera while modeling a crystal 1997 Thierry Mugler headpiece — and revealed that Something Beautiful will arrive May 30 via Columbia Records. Cyrus co-executive produced the LP with Shawn Everett.

Billy Ray also has new music on the horizon. In late January, he announced an upcoming album, produced by Braison. The album is expected to be released sometime this summer.
